TVS launches first keyboard with new Indian rupee sign
CHENNAI: IT peripherals manufacturer TVS-Electronics has launched a new keyboard TVS Gold Bharat with the Indian Rupee symbol key, a top company official said.
"TVS-E Becomes the first and only Indian IT company to incorporate the new Indian Rupee symbol on its keyboard," TVS Electronics Managing Director S S Raman said in a statement.
The keyboard comes with various features, including long life, compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and also equipped with Laser etched Keycaps for reduced wear and tear of keys.

Besides English, the keyboard also has Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Assamese language keys, it said.
TVS' new keyboard is 490mm x 180mm x 20mm in dimension, with an operating voltage of around 5V. The device accommodates a click tactile switch, comes with USB and PS2 interface and functions in 5% to 80% relative humidity conditions.
TVS-Electronics currently has about 3,500 authorised dealer partners and 400 authorised service partners covering 450 towns, it added.
